Pep band is the least popular band of the three covered on this website. Pep bands, much like marching bands play in the stands for football games, play in the stands during basketball games. Typically pep bands play arrangements of popular songs one can hear on the radio. The instrumentation of a pep band is very similar to that of a marching band, with many of the instrument variations (such as a musician playing a mellophone instead of french horn) also carrying over.
